Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and High Dependency Unit (HDU at Mingalar Hospital are located on the second floor. These units are supported by the latest medical technology and equipment, such as Bellavista 1000 ventilators and Mindray BeneHeart D3 defibrillators.

The ICU is committed to improving the quality of treatment for critically ill patients to support optimal recovery. Each ICU patient is provided with a five-function hospital bed and is closely monitored by a dedicated team of ICU staff. Patients are connected to advanced medical devices, including ePM 12 patient monitors, infusion pumps, SV300 portable ventilators, SV600 ventilators, and a central monitoring system to track vital signs. For neonates, an Infant Radiant Warmer (BRW-300A, AdvaMed) is available.

The ICU and HDU are managed by specially trained healthcare professionals and equipped with sophisticated monitoring systems. Our ICU team is fully qualified and experienced in monitoring and treating patients in critical condition. We regularly perform a range of emergency medical procedures, including the use of life-saving ventilators, defibrillators, and invasive blood pressure monitoring. The critical care team evaluates each case based on safety, potential benefits, bed availability, staff resources, and required equipment.
